Another Year Bites the Dust

Another Year Bites the Dust

Here it is, December 2025 and I’m starting the celebration of my birthday month! Yes, this is my most favorite time of the year.

It’s festive, most people are jolly and happy and parties are throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Food and drink are plentiful at various functions.

I’m thrilled to be celebrating my 81st year on this earth! WOW – how did that happen? I still enjoy teaching my Zumba and balance classes, as well as my fun hula classes.

My part-time ushering job at The Smith Center is still going strong and I intend to continue working there as long as I’m physically able. In between my busy schedule I will spend time with friends as much as possible, enjoying the holidays.

Reminiscing of my years on the East Coast, I really enjoy this beautiful winter weather without that snow! I can look at Mt. Charleston if I want to see that white stuff!

The holidays are notorious for putting on some extra pounds, so do yourself a favor. You can enjoy the holiday goodies but continue with your exercises or take up some new ones.

I have a notorious sweet tooth, but I try my darndest to only try a little of the goodies as possible. I’m determined not to put back the extra pounds I had gained these last few years. You all know that as we get older, it seems more difficult to lose those extra annoying pounds.

When I indulge in a glass of wine, I try to have another glass of water and sip the water between sips of wine. Helps to prolong the deliciousness of the wine, and still get that extra water in.

So as we wind down this year, be good to yourself and reflect upon what you want to check off your “bucket list” and go for it. BE GRATEFUL – for whatever you have, not what you don’t have.

POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND HAPPY HEALTH TO ALL!
