The “Eyes” Have It!
I finally reached that time in my life where I needed cataract surgery! I’ve been advised for the last few years by my eye doctor that, yes, I would be a candidate for cataracts, but to wait a few years until it reaches a certain “percentage” of need.
I had been noticing a difference in my vision [eyes] these last few years of colors not seeming bright as they should be. I also was having a little difficulty with night driving.
This year was time to have the surgery. And am I glad that I did! Everything was explained to me by
my ophthalmologist/surgeon concerning the [eyes] surgery, pre-op and post-op. I was ready!
In August I had the right eye cataract and then in September, the left. OMG – what a difference! Colors are brighter, whites are whiter and I don’t need glasses for night driving!
Amazing what can be done with this surgery. The only “downsize” is the prep and post-op of the eye drops.
I couldn’t be happier to live without glasses! I notice more now, especially a closer look at all the “dust bunnies” – LOL! I no longer have that “yellow” haze that I was experiencing reading or viewing clothes that I thought was a totally different color!
If readers have questions or concerns about cataract surgery, go to a [eyes] specialist who has performed many cataracts and/or Lasik surgery. Ask your questions, do research.
You’ll be happier and pleased with the results. And of course, follow the doctor’s instructions. Be patient and know that it’ll all be worth it in the long run.
I’m a happy camper and since I’m approaching my 80th trip around this planet, I really do feel lucky that I finally had this procedure done and seeing better for it!
