Michael “Wolf” Pasakarnis Jr, 29, was a wonder-child, but not in the sense that you’d think. As a child, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, Wolf explained that it wasn’t mental illness.
Still, people didn’t understand when he tried to explain that he was living in both the physical and spiritual worlds simultaneously, or his inability to acclimate to “normal” societal expectations.
As a poet, artist, and altruistic spirit who always helped others, Wolf was described by others as an “otherworldly angel.” He knew he was different and claimed there was nothing wrong with him or his heart, insisting that it was humanity that was out of balance.
That society was preoccupied with life through technology, logic, intellect, and their heads. His primary message emphasized that genuine connection and purpose come from living from the heart.
Wolf always knew how, when, and where he would die. Yet he welcomed it, said he wasn’t afraid because his spirit would be free. Living in both worlds, he innately knew that “consciousness exists beyond the physical body.”
One day, while at a table with friends and a storm brewing outside, Wolf announced that he had to go. That day, he had tidied his room, knowing he wasn’t coming back.
He proceeded up the street and entered Laughing Moon, leaving a heart-shaped stone at the register. He then walked up the steps to Burial Hill to the tree where he meditated and spent time.
At some point, a flash of lightning took Wolf home.” Just as he had predicted.
The next day, after leaving two red roses by the tree where he died, Wolf’s parents visited his apartment. Wolf left hints and proof of his death.
On the wall was his drawing of a tree with two roses at its base, a lightning bolt symbol, and a poem that he wrote: “Great Healer Awaken from within this heart. Peace and Tranquility flow like water. The time has come to allow the light of nature to free my soul.”
After passing, Wolf communicated with Medium Suzanne Giesemann. He provided additional evidence confirming his identity and the accuracy of his message, which his family later authenticated.
The three messages Wolf conveyed were: 1. Heart-Centered Living., 2. Oneness and Interconnectedness; that all beings are part of a single web of life and the Universe; and 3. Eternal Journey; that consciousness exists beyond the physical body, teaching that the soul’s eternal journey leads back to a state of pure unconditional love and wholeness within the heart.
