Do you want to relax, enjoy good music, maybe dance a bit, and certainly laugh too? Then go see the talented, animated, irrepressible Wes Winters in the Grandview Lounge at South Point Casino on Sunday and Monday evenings from 5-8 pm
Enjoy Wes as he tickles the ivories, sings, and clowns a bit with the audience. It’s great therapy for whatever ails ya. And he’s been doing it there for ten years!
Wes is charismatic, a bit corny sometimes, but just so lovable because of his enthusiasm which shines through. Of course to make it in Vegas, you’ve got to have talent and Wes has that for sure.
He’s honed his craft since he first sat down at a piano age six in Kansas. The piano wouldn’t fit through the door of the house, so young Wes was in the garage daily with records playing as he taught himself and mastered the craft.
“Going to Kansas City” (Wilbert Harrison) has become his theme song and his Phantom of the Opera is always a crowd pleaser. You might hear him play and sing “Up on the Roof “(Drifters) or “Can’t Smile Without You”, made famous by one of Wes’ idols, Barry Manilow.
If you’re thinking that some of these tunes make you feel like dancin’ – great! That’s what many folks ranging in age from their 40’s to their 90’s do on the two dance floors on either side of the stage.
Wes has high praise for South Point owner Michael Gaughan saying, “I find it pretty amazing how he’s brought and infused a Midwestern type of charm into one of the most popular and successful Las Vegas resorts – a rare mix of a class act with genuine warmth. Being from the Midwest, it feels familiar, like home. I am very proud to be there.”No cover. No minimum. And free parking. Check out the half price points specials on. See, listen, dance, sip, or sit and tap your toes.
