The Thunderbird Hotel, under new ownership, had its grand opening and show. It was the first Las Vegas Revue for the show’s singer, Peter. He had a gorgeous voice and was well-known in NYC Broadway shows.
Another first was a former ice-skating champion, Phil, dancing on a regular stage. He choreographed our routine with ice skating lifts. He was fun and loved to flirt with the audience, always having a date between shows.
Not having danced on a hardwood floor, he didn’t know to line me up with the wood grain of the stage before he slid me across the floor. Whenever I got splinters in my butt, I would take to his dressing room for help.
We laughed and became best friends. He was a joy to work with.
On the other hand, Peter presented a problem none of us had ever experienced. Shocking as it was, I will attempt to explain it with a WARNING: Reading this may cause embarrassment, laughter and blushing.
Reading while enjoying a drink may cause choking. Wetting your pants may occur. Closing your blinds is highly recommended.
I knew I needed to call the show’s Producer, Jerry, to explain the dilemma.
Saying, “Peter’s Peppers’s peaking penis protrudes profusely out of his purple bikini. Perturbed, perplexed patrons proceeded to the Palacios exit doors. Peter’s private parts were problematic during both performances last night.”
“Peter apologized, saying he had never worked with showgirls and had gotten excited. I am concerned that the show and the hotel will be closed. We are embarrassed to be on stage with him. We need your help!”
Jerry answered, “Consider it done. I’m taking care of it right now! Do you have any more concerns?”
I replied, “No. I am relieved to know the problem is resolved. Thank you.”
When Peter entered the stage that evening, his new wardrobe looked stunning and prestigious. We were proud of his contribution to the show.
The show ran smoothly; nothing arose unexpectedly – the end.
