Twisters

Twisters is an action adventure thriller mystery that will keep you guessing till the very end of the movie. The action scenes is one of the most inspired in recent years. This movie will keep your heart racing.

I agree with other critics that say,” the hectic sequences are scary and thrilling but not varied enough to be repeated all the way through the film.” It’s a monster truck of a summer movie.

A “Hell Yeah, Science Rules” bumper sticker that gets stuck in muddy subplots and looking at the original in its rearview mirror. These storm chasers aren’t fighting back, they’re researching the weather since we expect more from our blockbuster heroes.

This “Twisters” falls short of the original film since there’s no plot. It’s just bland characters driving into bad weather over, and over, and over again. At every chase, escape, and scramble for cover is one of watching real people battle nerve wilting odds.

The director, Lee Isaac Chung presents an excellent cast of Daisy Edgar Jones, (Kate Carter); Glen Powell, (Tyler Owens), Anthony Ramos, (Javi) and Brandon Perea (Boone).

On a personal note, I grew up in Ohio/Midwest where thunderstorms were more than a reason to seek cover. They were a clue to scramble to the tornado shelter or basement fearing you’d be dodging a flying cow or bouncing tire.

The camera shots are incredible but without a plot I am assessing Twisters with a 3+ review.
