If you watch late night TV, you may have seen the remarkable commercials for a product that magically erases under-eye bags. Well, as someone who inherited those from my dad’s side of the family, I’m always hoping for a miracle cure.
I originally tried the Peter Thomas Roth Formula. Sadly, I was disappointed. It did work, just like putting egg whites on your skin, it tightened great until you smiled.
It would crack and often have a white residue. Total fail for me.
Last month the new and improved Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm Eye, Easy-Wear Formula was announced. They said it was tinted and the improvements looked great.
I went to buy it but only saw it on Tik-Tok. I never buy from there; too many scams and sometimes they keep hitting your credit card monthly. It’s not worth the risk for me.
I wrote to the company and they advised it would be on their site soon. I waited and eventually purchased from their website.
I finally got it and although skeptical, it was better! It worked. It isn’t perfect and took some trial and error to get the best results, but this is far better than the original.
It held up pretty well. And you can use make-up with this one, which is helpful if you need concealer like I do.
The cons: If you use too much you can still get a white residue. And no using eye cream.
I was hopeful it would work on my neck, but it didn’t. Although I sell neck tape, I’m still always looking for that quick fix. Sadly this wasn’t it.
One trick that worked for me was using it more towards the nose area and after it was fully dry to use a little eye cream on my crow’s feet lines to soften those while staying away from the area of the eye firm.
Not perfect but better than it was, and possibly worth a try if you have nothing else.
