Chaska Offering a Tour of Indian Cuisine
Chaska Indian Restaurant, located at 7686 Las Vegas Blvd, is authentic as they come. The kitchen is helmed by Chef Vijay Deokar, who brings more than 20 years of experience having cooked for Bollywood legends and global figures.
He’s joined by Chef Ram Singh, who also has more than 20 years of experience in Indian cuisine across Liberia, Malaysia, South Africa, Germany, Spain, France, Singapore and Portugal.
The two-level restaurant’s décor includes a wall filled with roses, overflow and private dining rooms upstairs, and burnt orange walls with Bollywood movie dialogues in neon lights.
The nods to Bollywood continue with menu items paired with Bollywood movie titles. Starters include Dahi Papdi Chaat Royale with crispy crackers, potatoes, yogurt, chutney, pomegranate seeds and spices; and Chili Chicken Indo-Chinese with boneless chicken, stir-fried peppers, onions and a fiery chili-soy glaze. The hits continue with entrees like Chicken Tikka Masala in a tomato cream sauce, Palak Paneer Royale with paneer (non-melting cheese) cubes in a creamy spinach gravy and slow-roasted Bhuna Goat with a thick masala sauce.
You can accompany your meal with fresh baked Naan with variations of Garlic, Tandoori Roti and Hot Chili; and the ice cream-like Shahi Kulfi in flavors of Mango, Pista (pistachio) or Beetroot.
Your tour of India is even more delightful, as everything is made to order ensuring all comes out fresh, portions are generous and most of the menu is priced below $20.
Chaska is open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 10 p.m. for dinner. To view the complete menu, visit chaskalv.com.
