Want to “Bring Back that Lovin’ Feeling”? Go see The Righteous Brothers at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa November 12th – 14th.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bill Medley, an original Righteous Brother, tells the predominantly senior audience, “I’m Having the ‘Time of my Life’.” And I’m confident that you’ll have a great time taking a musical journey back in time with Bill and his musical partner Bucky Heard.
Bobby Hatfield, the original other Righteous Brother passed away in 2003. Bill’s salutes to his friend with his rendition of “Unchained Melody” may bring some tears to your eyes. It certainly brought the audience members to their feet.
Bill came back in 2015 with the very talented Bucky Heard. If you were a fan of this famous duo, my bet is that you will enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to hear the songs of “blue-eyed soul” once again.
Medley doesn’t have the entire vocal range he did, but the audience loves him and Bucky as they take us on a journey beginning in the 1960s with, as Bill puts it, “Ass-kickin’ Rock ‘n Roll.”
Bill and Bucky, separately and together perform the songs that made the Righteous Brothers an integral part of American musical history.
You’ll hear Grammy-winning hits including “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’,” (the most played song in radio history and the one featured in the movie “Top Gun”), “Soul & Inspiration,” “Unchained Melody,” (featured in “Ghost”) “Rock and Roll Heaven,” Medley’s Grammy-winning “The Time of My Life” (featured in “Dirty Dancing”), and more. Bucky’s rendition of “Crying” is a show stopper.
The Righteous Brothers always salute the veterans. Bill asks for them to stand and tells them “We wouldn’t be here today if you hadn’t gone there.” and follows with “Bridge Over Troubled Waters.”
Bucky’s rendition of “Somewhere” is another show stopper. Backup singers include Bill’s daughter McKenna who takes center stage for a solo.
The Righteous Brothers show is so enjoyable; not only for those who remember the years when they topped the charts, but for those who simply like songs with lyrics that you understand with performers that look and feel like the real thing.
