Terry Fator won America’s Got Talent 17 years ago. Since that time, he has been delighting audiences with his unique cast of characters ranging from the very popular Winston the Impersonating Turtle to Vicki the Cougar.
The theater at the Strat Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip with its updated technology is perfect for Terry and his many dummies. In the course of the 65 minute production (in the remodeled 620 seat theater) audiences get to enjoy about a dozen of the puppets.
Terry continues to step up his game as he showcases his many talents which include ventriloquism, impersonations, humor, and singing. This is a multi-media immersive experience which will delight the kids and hold their interest.
But make no mistake, there’s adult humor which flies over the heads of younger audience members and scores with the adults.
It’s easy to forget that there is the only live person on stage. In the course of the tightly constructed show, audiences get to enjoy favorites including Duggie Scott Walker the Stoner, Walter T. Airdale, Vicki the Cougar, and the newest character based on Freddie Mercury.
The Bohemian Rhapsody number is a winner for sure. And who doesn’t love Elvis impersonator Maynard Thompkins?
You may think ventriloquist when you think Terry Fator, but rest assured, this is a musical production. The show includes parodies in all genres of music – pop, rock, and classics and includes the music of Garth Brooks, Lionel Richie, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, and of course Taylor Swift as well as Terry’s comedic banter.
Terry’s 5 p.m. time slot is ideal for families or for folks who prefer to chow down after a show, not prior to their entertainment. This is family friendly light-hearted entertainment.
If you’ve never seen Terry Fator in person, go now. If you’ve seen him, go back again. You’ll be sitting there thinking, “darn, I forgot how talented he is.”
