Summer Travel

Summer Travel

Now that school is out and the weather is nice around the world, we are all getting ready to take our vacations. I was researching my file on travel and ran across some great travel comedy. Permit me to share them with you:

A woman was on a train and a man sitting next to her kept staring at her baby. The man finally says, “That is the ugliest baby I have ever seen.”

The woman became very upset. She demands the conductor to remove the man from the train for insulting her.

The conductor says “Please calm down. Come to the dining car and I will see that you are treated to a wonderful meal compliments of the railroad company. I will also see if they have something for your monkey.”

On a more serious note:

1. Don’t you think TSA has gone a little too far? I don’t want to be humiliated in a body search!

I am an old woman who looks like she just crawled out of church.

2. I like social profiling. I can be left alone. I know you are saying that some terrorists could be old women but tell me about the last one reported and I will agree with you.

3. I am also being “grossed out” by people wearing flip flops with filthy feet. They don’t want to wear proper shoes because TSA makes them take them off.

4. Leave my lovely, fragrant lotions alone! I like to smell good. I don’t want to go through the mess of putting my lotions in smaller bottles just to get them in my carry-on. Otherwise, they will be tossed away like old anti-freeze!

5. Suntan lotion is also not allowed. Apparently, skin cancer means nothing to these people.

6. Drinks are not allowed also, which airport vendors love. You are now forced to buy their $3.00 bottled drinks for $7.00!

I really do appreciate the TSA. I am glad we have them. I just think, like so many things that start out as a good idea, that they have gone too far.

Happy and safe travels everyone!
