You will notice fragrant BBQ smells that surround the place. And not only are there great smoked dishes but breakfast will also blow you away. More on that later.
Appetizers are called Snacks ‘n Stuff and creativity abound. For instance, Wicked Deviled Eggs are embellished with candied jalapeno and bacon.
Watermelon wedges are enhanced with honey, lime and zest. Pimento cheese, a long-lost menu item, is back with a version that includes bacon jam, saltines, and candied jalapenos.
Southern fried dill pickles are ready to be doused with ranch dip.
Chicken items are prominent and if you talk to those who have experienced them fried poultry is a favorite and comes in a variety of choices. You can get boneless breasts, thighs or tenders. Each plate comes with a choice of a homemade biscuit or jalapeno cornbread.
Barbecue plates continue the creative theme. Salt and pepper beef brisket is delivered in a choice of sizes, 8 or 12 ounces. Pecan smoked pork ribs are another popular pick.
Brisket burgers include the Double B with a griddled patty, American cheese, butter onion and more. Fried thick bologna is another option that is surrounded by Texas toast, yellow mustard and American cheese.
Direct from the south are seafood po’boy sandwiches. Cornmeal fried catfish is served on a French roll and butter pickled vegetables. For those who want to remain meatless enjoy the jackfruit sandwich delivered on a potato roll with cowboy candy BBQ sauce.
Sides are available in two sizes and include collard greens, mac n’ cheese, white cheddar grits, sweet cream corn, and apple dixie cole slaw.
Breakfast is served every day until 3PM. Wings and waffles is a large meal that includes two fried eggs, naked or breaded smoked chicken wings and a cornmeal waffle. Waffles made with cornmeal have a lighter texture with the same great taste.
Biscuits and gravy are a favorite along with smoked brisket hash. The menu includes pork belly and an omelet stuffed with bacon, sausage, cheddar, and potato succotash.
The collection of alcohol and non-alcohol drinks is a fun part of the place. Liam’s ginger beer is a must order. It is hand crafted, sans alcohol and served in four flavors: lime, jalapeno, strawberry and apricot-peach.
Sun tea is available in regular or sweetened servings. Watermelon lemonade will get your day started off right and craft sodas will quench the thirst as well.
There is a large list of ales including Tenaya Creed Gipsy Fade and Elysian Space Dust. A unique bourbon and bacon Bloody Mary is made with Knob Creek bourbon, spicy Mary mix, pickles, a pickled egg and bacon that is rimmed with salt.
