Progress is Not Always a Plus!

Progress is Not Always a Plus!

Lately I’ve been getting too irritated by social media, AI and all the new idiotic posts on Facebook. We have reached a level of stupidity with AI generated stories, fake postings and ridiculous predictions that finally ruined the fun of social media.

When the whole thing began, it was nice to see friends online, share greetings and pictures of all our adventures. Now we have to wade through garbage just to see if a friend said hello.

Once in a great while I can actually reach out to someone but now, I have to upload some kind of other app to do it. I see “Messenger” wants something and so does “Chat” so I quit.

I would rather yell out the window to my friends if they were closer.

The most annoying part of all is if you want to eliminate ads from your email or anything else, you have to pay for that! Really?

And when you attempt to do solitaire on your phone, you are interrupted by Royal Kingdom and there is no back button to press. They say these things are free but to get the extra moves and solve a puzzle, you pay for that too.

Like an idiot I have invested much too much money in that little effort. If I add it all up, I may as well go to the casino and at least get a free drink!

What started out as a great way to connect with friends has become a dangerous game with identity theft, AI generated fake sites, photos and a great stalking tool for the bad guys.

No matter what they may try to control, the evil spreads and it’s too late now.

When the internet highway was first released, we wondered how that would improve our lives. But as it developed, we learned that it creates equal parts, good and bad. Watch your back as you navigate sites. If something looks unusual, check the originating source before opening it. Trust only people you actually know or get off the site immediately.
