LAS VEGAS - Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson announced this morning that $39,076.60 stolen from cerebral palsy victim Jason Hanson is currently on deposit in the District Attorney's victim's assistance fund, and will be distributed to Mr. Hanson within two weeks according to Wolfson.
The District Attorney says he plans to speak to Hanson personally today to give him the good news.
The monies were part of a trust fund set up by Hanson's paternal grandparents, and was pilfered by a guardian appointed by Clark County Family Court to protect him until he became an adult. The guardian, Susan Rousselle, pleaded guilty in April to felony exploitation of a vulnerable person, and will serve four years probation.
