There have been many who have ventured to Las Vegas to pursue their dreams. Tony and Ashleigh recently arrived from the Midwest to open Tony’s Pizzeria at Pawn Plaza.
Tony’s family has been in the restaurant business for years and he wanted to open his own place. Ashleigh worked as a server and didn’t want to continue in the business but that has all changed. You will find a lot of love in everything they make.
The place is primarily a take-out facility but there are a few tables inside and out where you can enjoy the fare. Appetizers are highlighted with a quartet of sticks including sausage and pepperoni rolls. All are garnished with homemade marinara sauce.
Other starters include open-baked wings that have a crispy finish. Two types are featured: BBQ or Buffalo.
They offer a variety of pizza types including thin crust, classic and hand-tossed. By the way Tony is a champion flipper and ask if he will do a demonstration for you.
There are three sizes of pies ranging from 12 to 24 inches. Chicken is a premium topping along with a long list with classics like anchovies, artichokes, spinach and green peppers.

A list of specialty pizzas is creative like The Capone which includes Italian sausage, roasted red peppers and red onions. The Hawaiian will make islanders proud with ham, bacon, red onion, cheddar and mozzarella with a choice of BBQ or pizza sauce.
Spinach Margherita is a new take on a classic with tomatoes, pesto, basil, fresh mozzarella plus a balsamic glaze drizzle.
I prefer pizzas with just a few ingredients so I chose a custom pick that had olives, artichokes and extra cheese. It came out of the oven piping hot and was a treat. The marinara sauce has a slightly sweet taste that accents the rest of the flavors very well.
The thin crust had just a hint of crispiness to it. Overall, it was a fine pie that anyone would be proud to devour.
For those who are craving a calzone they can accommodate with the stromboli that is a collection of Italian sausage, pepperoni, peppers plus two cheeses: parmesan and mozzarella. A traditional calzone is stuffed with cheese and a choice of toppings.
When the menu was put together Ashleigh insisted on adding salads and they currently have three to choose from. Nonna’s is a collection of greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, pepperoncini, red onions and cheese.
An antipasto offering is full of black and green olives, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, onions, artichokes, pepperoni, ham, and a duet of cheeses. There is also a house edition with greens, tomato, cucumber and red onion.
Great vibes await you as you enter. The aroma of fresh pizza not only lingers inside but you will experience it in the patio as well. The place is well positioned to attract customers as tourists flock to the famous pawn stars shop and offices around the area are filled with folks looking for a great lunch.
Let Tony’s fulfill your cravings.
