Hello fellow senior citizens and future seniors (our children and grandkids).
The Medicare premium is increasing by 14.86%, from $148.00 to $170.00. This is an additional $22.00 per month while our Social Security is only going up 5.9%.
The government claims that about half of the increase is due to "contingency planning"
What if Medicare (at some point) has to cover the new $56,000.00/year medication (Aduhelm)
for Alzheimer’s disease. When has the government ever planned AHEAD?

You can’t always believe what you see on TV…or hear from an insurance salesperson.
Although the GEICO gecko continues to drop to his knees at the sight of a flat tire and be rescued by their 24-hour, 7-day a week road service that’s splashed across television screens, GEICO does NOT offer that service.
And GEICO Service Manager on East Serene Avenue office continues to add the coverage (at additional charge) although the company can’t deliver.
Fortunately for one Vegas Voice reader, the summer heat had broken and around 10:00 pm he hit some road construction debris on Silverado Ranch, about a mile west of the South Point Casino. The tire, just two weeks old, was beyond repair.

I don’t mince words, nor throw anyone under a bus.
This is NOT a political statement but, rather what was presented to me for a political office.
Recently, the last 4 years or so, politics have concerned me; my opinions/voice matter.
I met with a Consultant from a MAJOR political campaign company and stated my ideas/speeches/goals on getting to Washington, D.C.
Unfortunately, I was presented with 2 opportunities: move to Boulder City to become a Councilman or campaign for Nevada State Controller. To quote them: “I did say that someone's resume doesn't matter much for these types of elections, it's been years since I've seen polling that suggests voters care about "experience." And “I even pointed to two previous clients who won races against more qualified opponents. Frankly, like most controllers, State Treasurers etc.…they tend to hire Accountants and Finance people to run the office while they act as a figurehead.”

To the Vegas Voice readers:
The below appeared in the Epoch Times. There are now two First Amendments in this country.
The original which says, "I hate what you say but will defend to the death you right to say it."
The new one which says, "I hate what you say and will do everything I can to SHUT YOU UP."
These quotes and their sources are a great defense of the original and need to be put out there.
I hope everyone agrees.
