Murray the magician is funny. He himself claims, “How can you be serious when you look like a Q Tip!
When you see him in Las Vegas at the LA Comedy Club at the Strat in “HairLarious Deceptions” Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 p.m. you’ll be mystified by the magic, but you’ll also be laughing at the comedy that permeates the production.
What makes it work? Murray himself will tell you that he’s been doing a lot of the same magic for a long time. But he also is up front in saying that it is the humor that he brings to the stage that makes him endure as a Vegas act. The show is 80% comedy.
Murray declares that “My act is like Dennis The Menace. Everything in my show takes twists and turns with a hilarious comedy angle and at the end a miracle happens that usually blows people away.”
He began performing magic as a kid in his native Canda but soon learned that the comedy makes it happen for the audiences that flock to his performances. His personality and interaction with the audience are plus factors.
You feel like this is a guy you’d like to pal around with. He connects with all ages in his audience.
This production is appreciated and embraced by both adults and kids. A great show for families to attend together.
His props include a bowling pin, shoes, markers, envelopes, and cell phones. His performances on Americas Got Talent brought him national attention and serve him well when he takes the show to other spots in the United States and overseas.
Describing the magic doesn’t do it justice. Ya just gotta go see it for yourself. FYI – you’ll have the opportunity to meet Murray after the show for a personal photo opportunity. I know you’ll enjoy the show as much as I do.
