March! Spring is right around the corner. I absolutely love Spring as it’s an indication of the warmer weather to come. Yes, I truly love the warmer weather.
I’m originally from the East Coast and I moved away from the snow, sleet and ice many moons ago. Yes, I welcome the hot weather.
Springtime is a great time to reflect on the previous year and plan goals for this year. Stop and smell the flowers once in a while! I plan to be thankful for each day and try to learn a new word each day.
I still have a dictionary and open it to a random page and point to any word. Interesting what you find!
I’ve started learning to play a ukulele and it’s tough, I admit, but challenging! Working those senior brain cells!
I also plan on learning new recipes. I love to watch the Food Network and learn new techniques. Interesting what these foodies come up with!
I also learn new recipes from Facebook. I’m not much for eating out, so I do enjoy cooking. Freezing extra servings is my specialty and I enjoy making more than a single serving and set the rest in the freezer for future use.
With being blessed with good health at this tender senior age, I plan on continuing my Zumba, balance and dance classes, as well as my ushering job at The Smith Center. Long ago I learned that by keeping both body and mind active will help to keep me young! Well, at least healthy as I can hopefully be!
Now is a new year 2025 and time to refresh, rejoin, and rejuvenate.
Enjoy life – as it is short as we are not promised tomorrow!!!!
POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND HAPPY HEALTH TO ALL!
