August is always a big month for me. It’s also a big month for Publisher Dan, as it is our birthday month. We were both born in 1953 and are just three days apart.
Last year we spent our 70th birthdays cruising around the British Isles, Ireland and France. What a great trip that was! It has become a bit of a tradition that during our nearly fifty years that we have known each other, to vacation together over our birthdays.
This year a vacation birthday trip was not in the cards as Sharon and I are awaiting out third grandchild who is expected in August. Grandma and Grandpa just want to be near home when our family gets a little bigger.
Inevitably, we will do some traveling with Dan and Rana together soon. In fact, we will be together for the Hawaiian Island cruise coming up February 9, 2025, featuring Tony Arias.
And we are already looking forward to our August 2026 birthday trip. Looks like we will be switching things up and will escort a group on a Canadian Rockies land tour.
It gets so darn Hot, Hot, Hot in Las Vegas, that we decided on traveling to more temperate climes. It just shouldn’t be 100+ degrees in Canada.
