There is humorous and mystifying entertainment happening at the Four Queens Hotel. If you attend Kevin Lepine’s show “Hypnosis Unleashed”, the longest running hypnosis show in Las Vegas, you just might become one of the on-stage stars.
Kevin told me that his goal with a volunteer is to make sure that the audience member, “Look like a star.” Kevin wants the audience to laugh “with you” not at you. It works.
This hilarious show – not for kids or prudes – is raunchy and edgy, but in a good-natured way. Kevin has been dubbed the “Rock Star of Hypnosis.”
He opens with some side splitting comedy and then comes the call for volunteers. He promises you won’t be asked to do anything embarrassing.
Kevin selects about ten audience members and we watch in delight as he narrows it down to the 4 or 5 stars of the show. He passes out paper napkins and announces that they are monetary currency.
These folks believe it. As he tosses the paper, women are grabbing and stuffing the “money” into their bosoms.
But he’s already told them that their butts are glued to their seats. We sit back and enjoy watching their frustration as they extend their arms to gather up the loot.
We laugh out loud as Kevin leads some warmup activities. He has them play their favorite musical instruments. Then, he informs them that they are unclothed.
He actually uses the word naked. Hilarious as he is selecting those finalists to keep for the rest of the show’s shenanigans.
Kevin’s charisma makes him likable and that makes this all believable. Never the same twice. If you’re lucky, maybe your spouse or friend will end up onstage and hypnotized.
Kevin’s assistant, is his lovely wife Emily, even plays her violin during the show. It’s all good. And she’ll be in the lobby after the show if you want to purchase one of his self-help products.
He is actually a certified hypnotherapist. Go see Kevin Lepine’s “Hypnosis Unleashed” at 9 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at the Four Queens.
