Free, Free Palestine?

Free, Free Palestine?

What does it mean to “Free Palestine”? Does it mean taking over an entire country?

Does it mean killing every Jew in Israel, or everywhere in the world?

Does it mean that the people in Gaza should no longer be oppressed? Does it mean that killing should cease?

If the protestors on college campuses and beyond want the inhabitants of Gaza to be free, then the goal should be to eliminate Hamas. They are the group that suppresses the people of Gaza, ignoring their suffering and starvation and lack of medical care.

It is Hamas, that has and continues to steal food and medical supplies provided by Israel and the U.S. It is Hamas that is funded by Iran and Sudan, Turkey, Algeria, and Qatar the Palestinian Authority, a group that Antony Blinken recently said should take over the Gaza strip once the war is over. Now there’s a crazy idea.

Israel and its Jewish inhabitants did not raise a weapon to the residents of Gaza. They did provide homes and businesses in Gaza and jobs in Israel.

Hamas has destroyed all of that. It was Hamas that killed, raped, burned and looted and left Israel no option but to retaliate to save their own lives.

If protestors think, for even one second, that any Israeli should lay down their arms to “Free Palestine” so that Hamas can continue to abuse their own people and reign down terror once again on the women and children of Israel, they are delusional.

If they truly care about the survivors in Gaza, they should be protesting Hamas. But of course, since we are discussing Jews, the rules are different. As they always have been.

No where else in the world, no other group, ethnic, religious or otherwise would be expected to throw down their arms and give up to terrorists. But because it is Jews, they elicit irrational hatred and a failure to comprehend the truth, and embarrassingly, sometimes even from their own brethren. To the uninformed the rules of engagement change for Jews.

I suggest the wild-eyed protestors at the colleges and universities go sit in a library instead of destroying one and learn some history and some facts before they spend another second blocking an American student from entering the building which accomplishes absolutely “bupkis” (“nothing” in Yiddish).

Should the Israelis stop defending themselves because some loud-mouthed, uneducated children are screaming “Free Palestine”?  In the words of Donnie Brasco “Forget about it”, or as it is said in Yiddish “Ummeglich” = Impossible!
