I started playing the guitar when I was twelve years old. And the first song I ever learned to play (and sing badly) was “I’m not your Steppingstone” made famous by “The Monkees.”
From that auspicious start on the guitar, I probably learned to play hundreds of songs. The music I loved most was folk music. If Peter, Paul & Mary played it, I learned it. If Bob Dylan sang it, I learned it. I loved John Denver tunes.
I was not a “wild and crazy guy” in college. My idea of a fun evening on campus was joining a group of friends, taking out our guitars and playing music for hours. It brought me great joy and it is probably my most significant memory from my college years.
That is why I am so happy to announce our upcoming FOLK LEGACY TRIO “Bus to the Boat” cruise. We will cruise February 6-13, 2027 on the Princess Cruise Line’s Discovery Princess to the Mexican Riviera.
Ports of call will include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta. And while on board we will have at least two private group only Folk Legacy Trio concerts, a Folk Legacy Trio jam session where group members will be able to sing and play along with the them (as we did last time) as well as a private group cocktail reception.
I have written many times the Vegas Voyagers are in the memory business. When you travel with us, we fill up your memory bank. The Folk Legacy Trio cruise will do just that.
I can’t think of a better combination than the Folk Legacy Trio and a Mexican Riviera cruise.
