Since July 2025, when astronomers confirmed it as an interstellar object speculation has surrounded 3I/Atlas.
At the long-awaited NASA briefing, officials shared data from over 20 missions, released new images, and clarified the solar system. They reassured all that 3I/Atlas is of natural origin, that it will not collide with Earth and that it’s not alien technology.
Scientists believe the third known interstellar comet to enter our solar system is older than Earth and contains material predating the Sun. Astronomers think it originated in the Milky Way’s thick disk, (possibly over 7 billion years ago) and entered our solar system on a hyperbolic trajectory.
This means it had enough speed to escape its star’s gravity, much like spaceships leaving Earth.
Still completely puzzled, astronomers and scientists continued tracking 3I’s passage through our solar system.
Astronomers are studying its speed, composition, and origin. Claiming its high carbon dioxide-to-water ratio and unusual metal emissions provide essential insights into conditions in other star systems, while debating if 3I, (unlike known comets’ behavior) was actually an alien spaceship due to its color, two tails rather than one that comets are known for, and other unusual characteristics.
“Capturing 3I ATLAS wasn’t a single eureka moment,” said Dr. Lena Ortiz, part of an international imaging team. “It was hundreds of people quietly pointing their instruments at the same tiny patch of sky and trusting that, together, we’d see something extraordinary.”
In an explosive interview, Steven Greer, retired physician, controversial American Ufologist, and founder of the Center for the Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and the Disclosure Project, which claims to disclose classified UFO information declared, “You’re being played. This is the final act of a 70-year deception, masterfully orchestrated psychological warfare to unite the world in fear, justify trillions in military spending, and usher in an era of global control.”
In the end, “3I/ATLAS will leave our sky long before we figure out everything it has to tell us.” On March 16, 2026, 3I/Atlas will be passing through Jupiter’s magnetic fields and its massive gravitational influence. Researchers are saying, “This will significantly alter the 3I/Atlas’s trajectory,” when it exits our solar system.
