A NEW WAY TO BE PART OF THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS
By: Rana Goodman
I was cruising the Nevada Legislative site today and found this survey. It is something new, they are asking for input and various bills. I know many people don't care to read them, to most people it is akin to watching wet paint dry, BUT these are laws that we will have to live with so we might as well try to lend our voice for what it is worth.
I do believe that some of the new faces up North really do want to hear from us and I will be giving the out line of many bills in the coming month. You can follow the link below or email me if you want information on any subject, I'm happy to do the digging and reading for you. Rana@thevegasvoice.net
This link will take you to the Nevada Legislative page where they have developed a new page asking we constituents to voice our opinions on up-coming bills.
When you are on the page you will notice a drop down box listing the numbers of all the bills which you can review by putting any of the numbers into the search box if you wish. However, we will also be outlining some of the important senior bills and others that will impact all of us in the newsletter as we go through this session too.
In my opinion this is a wonderful tool to get involved and let your representatives know how you feel.

The Opinion Poll portion of this site contains constituent opinions for the 77th (2013) Session of the Nevada Legislature. Feel free to view constituent opinions by clicking on the links above.
Throughout a legislative session, legislators review these opinions to gain perspective on how constituents in their districts feel about legislation. Constituent names, addresses and other personal information are NOT made public, but are available to legislators so that they will know who is submitting the comment and are able to contact the constituent if they so desire. Only opinion totals and comments are made publicly available on this site.
