Cindy Reid, The Next Nevada First Lady? The Vegas Voice kicked off its political coverage on its weekly radio show (KLAV 1230am – 11am-12 noon) yesterday. Our first interview was with Cindy Reid, wife of Democratic candidate for Governor: Rory Reid.
Whatever one thinks of or believes about Rory’s politics or his dad, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is fair game. But after meeting and listening to Mrs. Reid, there is no question that she would make one great First Lady.
Her beauty, charm and intelligence would be a major asset to all Nevadans – regardless of political philosophy. Compared to the recent and past events of Governor Jim Gibbons and (now) ex-wife Dawn, one could not notice a much needed and improved contrast.
Cindy Reid politely, ably and professionally handled all topics concerning Rory’s economic and education positions for the State of Nevada; as well as life as the mother of three teenage children, and Harry’s daughter-in-law. It was refreshing to say the least.
Now this is not to say that The Vegas Voice or yours truly are all ready to jump on the Rory Reid bandwagon. But it’s a hell of a start.
